This is the third and final book in this series and you must read them in order.  I really liked this book and whole series in general.  There are lots of twists and turns.  This series is about lost love and a bit a trouble.  Lauren Mitchell has been thrown in jail and bailed out by Aedyn.  She must stay in Granger while Aedyn needs to be in Chicago.  Chip has made it look like Lauren was in on the insurance scam and left her to take the fall for all of it.  Lauren and Aedyn are now forced to spend more time apart.  Lauren has lots of self-confidence problems.  Every time she thinks she is making progress something or someone comes along and she is right back to where she started.  Now that she is facing possible jail time she worries that it will hurt Aedyn's reputation and that maybe he will realize she isn't worth the trouble.  Aedyn has his best people working on Lauren case to ensure that she won't have to go to jail.  However they have to find Chip and get him to cooperate in order for that to work.  Will Lauren go to jail?  Will Aedyn and Lauren's relationship be able to with stand yet another challenge?  Lauren is so gullible and has lots of self-doubt.  Instead of believing in herself and what she and Aedyn have she is willing to believe what she is told by others.  She is so worried about everything and every possible outcome that she begins to doubt everything.  Aedyn is totally focused on making sure she doesn't go to jail and being strong for her.  He wants a future with her.  Aedyn has done some questionable things but then hasn't everyone?  His history with drugs and women bugs me but he hasn't done anything like that since he got together with Lauren.  I love her crazy friend and would love to read more about her.  Lauren's doubt drove me batty sometimes.  Overall I enjoyed this book and the series and would definitely recommend it to others to read.  I love Eve Carter and look forward to reading other book by her in the future.

EXCERPT
With slow steps, she walked toward him, keeping her voice low and packed with the need she had for him. "I dreamt about you last night. That your touch scorched my body, your tongue on my nipples. I’m dripping wet right now just thinking about it."
He swivelled with a growl. Flinching, she took a step back at the intense expression on his face. The raw, almost feral heat in his gaze, the slight tip to one corner of his lips, baring white teeth. She trembled as she made the realisation; she was no longer the predator but now the prey.
Just like that he'd switched on her. She'd gotten what she'd wanted.
Her heart pounded against her chest and dampness soaked her knickers. How could his obvious anger turn her on so much?
"You want a bit of rough? You want me to fuck you, is that it?"
Shocked by his language, her words choked in her throat. No one had ever spoken to her in that manner. She clamped her thighs together, wanting to relief the building pressure.
"No, you don't," he gritted out as he leaned over and tapped her thigh with his knuckles. "Keep your legs apart."
She complied without understanding why he'd made the demand, only knowing she'd do whatever he asked, if it'd give her what she craved. Him fucking her hard and fast.
She’d taunted him for that reason. If it would drive away the ache in her heart for a little while, then she’d take it no matter how rough it was.
"Answer my question," he said, the calmness in his deep voice belying the passion in his dark eyes.
"Yes," her voice was a soft husky whisper, her body trembling with her own increasing desire.
"Say it, Tari," he commanded.
"I want you to fuck me," she replied and relished the freedom the words gave her.

Trust Review

Trust (The Unloveable Series Book 3)Trust by Michelle Lowhorn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was great. I love all Michelle's books and this one was no different. Sophia is the daughter of the Secretary of Defense at the pentagon. She has gone to Central America to help build a school so that child who would have never had a chance at an education otherwise could get one. She knows that danger that she could face but she needs to feel like she is making a difference in the world. Mack and her father grew up together and had a falling out when Mack left the military to become a mercenary. Her father calls Mack when Sophia is taken by rebels. Mack doesn't hesitate to help his old friend. He goes to rescue Sophia with out a second thought. He couldn't imagine leaving her safety to anyone else. He never imagined how protective and attracted he would be of Sophia till he finds her naked tied to a chair in a tent. To Sophia Mack has always been a hero and now more than ever she knows its true. They are both attracted to each other however Mack doesn't want to go there. How could Sophia love a man like him who has done the things he has done? Will Sophia be able to make him see that he is lovable that she loves him and not just because he rescued her? This book has romance, danger, and some scandal. Michelle is a fantastic author. I love all the books she writes and can't wait for the next one she writes. Her stories pull you in and the characters are great. Great job Michelle.

I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Gavin's Woman Review

Gavin's Woman (PSI Sentinels: Guardians of the Psychic Realm)Gavin's Woman by Pamela Moran
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love all the books in Pamela’s PSI series and this book is no exception. She writes fantastic stories that pull you in and make you feel like you are in the book or you want to be. Gavin and Calea have been told by their grandmothers who are both great seers that they are soul mates. However Gavin is very much the type of guy who only deals in the here and now the future can change to easily. Plus he is still dealing with things from his past that stop him from being with Calea. Calea is a seer herself and doesn’t need to believe what their grandmothers say to know they are right. Her own feelings for Gavin let her known that he is the one for her. Gavin does love Calea but he refuses to be with her. He can’t stand the thought of her with anyone else but how can he tie her to him when he is the way he is. Now Calea is in danger will he be able to keep the distance he has always enforced between while he is trying to save her life. Not only that but Calea has told him this is his last chance. She can no longer what around for him to change his mind she is going to move on with hers and find someone who will love her even if they aren’t her soulmate. Will Gavin finally realize how he truly feels and deal with his past so he can have a future with Calea? This book has some twists and turns. I felt so bad for Calea having to deal with how she really felt for Gavin but not feeling like he felt the same way for her. Gavin was afraid that what he was feeling for her wasn’t love but obsession. He witnessed his mother go through horrible things with his father. He refuses to repeat the cycle with himself and Calea. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Really I love anything Pamela writes and always look forward to new books by her.
I was given this book in return for an honest.

Tortured Review

Tortured (Birthmarked, #1.5)Tortured by Caragh M. O'Brien
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I loved this little quick read. I love reading books like this where you get to read about the in between books. Sometimes the books don’t always pick up right where they left off or something happened in the previous book and you want to know what happened to the specific character. In this case what happened to Leon when he gave himself up to give Gaia a chance to getaway. I wanted to know what they did to him and how he got away. I am so grateful for the little book.

Birthmarked Review

Birthmarked (Birthmarked, #1)Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really liked this book. It is set in the future where we are left with an earth that is barely habitable. Gaia Stone is a midwife just like her mother and is stuff starting to deliver babies all by herself instead of being an assistant to her mother. Gaia and her family live outside the wall. Those that live inside the wall have a better chance at life than those that live outside the wall or at least that is what they are made to believe. Those that live inside the wall have a better chance. Gaia’s life is soon to change and she will learn that everything she has ever been told is a lie. Nothing is as it seems. Nothing could have prepared her for what she is about to learn and go through. Who to trust and what to believe? This book took a bit to get into and understand how they lived. But, once I got into it, it was fantastic. There are lots of twists and turns. For me it was comparable to Hunger Games in some ways but still different enough that I didn’t feel like it was the same. No fighting for their life but still those in charge are not telling everything and more worried about the upper class than the group as a whole. I felt for Gaia so much. Her whole life changed in one night and things went downhill from there. The story was wonderfully written. The characters have depth to them and pull you in. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
