This is the fourth book in the series. I think they should be read in order. Lucy and Bo have been dancing around each other for a while now. When Bo finds out that Lucy isn’t as young as he thought he plans to make his move. He knows he needs to go slow and carefully. Lucy spooks easily. She has clearly been through something. Bo will show her that he is patient and isn’t going anywhere. Then things start to happen at the rescue. First a horse is poisoned then the abusive ex of a woman Lucy is helping is found dead. Bo is going to be there for Lucy. Lucy is beginning to panic. Could those from her past found her again? This book was a fantastic read. I love all the characters in this series. I was so happy for Bo and Lucy to finally get their shot at happily ever after. I know Lucy had been through something but I felt for her even more after learning what it was. As usual this book sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down. I can’t say enough about this book or the series. Really Freya is a just a fantastic author. I love every book I have read by her. Congrats on another wonderful book Freya.
