This is the first book in a new trilogy by T.K. Leigh. This
book is dark and twisted. A story of revenge and deceit. This trilogy does
connect to another of T.K. Leigh’s series. Gideon Saint is a millionaire. He
saves Imogene when she attacked in an alley. The two, keep running into each
other. Imogene is trying to move on with her life. Several years ago, she lost
the love of her life. She hasn’t felt anything for a man since then until
Gideon. Gideon was betrayed by a friend and then a stranger. Now he is back to
get his revenge. He has a plan and Imogene is part of that plan. But the more
time he spends around her the more he begins to think he may need to tweak his
plan. Maybe she didn’t know about what happened to him. The more time Imogene
spends around Gideon the harder it is to resist him. Some of the things he does
remind her of her ex so much but they are two different men, or are they?
Imogene his her love before to protect someone else but she isn’t going to do
that a second time. Her friend will just have to deal with the way that makes
him feel. This book is a wild ride. Gideon and Imogene are more connected than
Imogene knows. I was hooked right from the start. It took me a minute to
realize that the series was connected to another one. Once I figured out that
is was and which one I liked the book even more. I can’t wait to read what
happens next. I have a feeling it will go a bit sideways but hopefully in the
end it will have a happy ending. Fantastic job T.K. Leigh.
