High Density (High Mountain Trackets HMT 2G, #3) Release Blitz +Review

Title: High Density (High Mountain Trackers HMT 2G, #3)

Author: Freya Barker

Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: February 17, 2025

Hosted by: Buoni Amici Press, LLC.

Since taking over the veterinary clinic in Libby, Montana last year, Janey Richards has been burning the candle at both ends. She’s grateful she is busy, but there has barely been any time to build a life outside of work. To help pay down her debt faster, she agrees to take on responsibility for the livestock at Libby’s annual rodeo, but perhaps she should’ve thought twice about the added stress. Although, her personal life is definitely looking up.

JD Watike never thought he’d end up following in his father’s footsteps, but he’s found his stride these past six years as a member of the High Mountain Trackers team. He enjoys the simplicity of small-town living, which has only gotten more interesting since Doc Richards appeared on the scene. Spending most of the past year patiently observing from a distance, the time feels right for him to make his move. Or at least to clear up some misunderstandings.

The opportunity presents itself sooner than expected, when the pretty veterinarian stumbles onto some serious criminal activity at the Libby Roundup, and a young woman disappears from the grounds, he has plenty of cause to stay glued to her side.

When I get to her place, I dig through the back seat of my truck to find something cleaner to wear than the clothes I have on now. I dig up a sports bag that must’ve been in there for a couple of months, since I haven’t been to the gym in at least that long. But at least it holds a pair of clean socks, a shirt, and some sweats that smell better than the jeans I have on. I didn’t realize how foul I reeked until the beautiful aroma from the pizza was overwhelmed by the smell of cow shit. No way I can eat smelling like this. Using Janey’s bathroom—which is permeated by her scent—is the worst kind of torture. I briefly contemplate polishing one off in the shower, but decide against it. Instead, I turn the faucet to cold for a few minutes before I step out. Janey is on her couch, her feet tucked under her as she’s watching the news on TV. The pizza and iced teas, along with a couple of plates and napkins, are waiting on the coffee table. “Unless you want to sit at the table?” she asks when I walk in. “Not particularly.” I drop down beside her. “You could’ve started without me,” I suggest. “You weren’t that long,” she returns, reaching to flip open the pizza box. My stomach rumbles loudly as she loads three pieces on a plate and hands it to me, before serving herself. I was wrong; sitting next to Janey as she moans through her first tastes of a cheesy bratwurst pizza has to be the worst kind of torture by far.

This is the third book in this series. They can be read as stand alone books but I think they are better read in order. JD has been interested in Janey for a while but he is finally ready to make a move. Things don't exactly as planned at first but he knows she is worth it. JD is second generation with the High Mountain Trackers. Janey takes after her father as well. He was a workaholic as well. But her personal life is improving with the attention from JD. She is a few years older than him but that doesn't seem to matter to JD so she won't let it bother her either. Then things get interesting when JD offers to help her out while she works the rodeo. They find drugs in a cow and this starts all kinds of trouble. Plus there have been two woman found and then one goes missing from the rodeo grounds. JD is going to make sure Janey is protected at all costs. Will they be able to figure out who is behind this before its too late? There are more involved than they know. This book was a great read. I love the original series and this spin off is just as great. Janey and JD make a great team. It is great getting to read about this next generation. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Freya is a must read author for me. I love her books.

The next instant, she was lying on the pavement, staring up at the sky, with Cherilyn on one side of her and Carly on the other. “Maisey? Maisey! Are you okay? Hey, Maisey, honey, are you all right?” Carly was yelling, as though Maisey were deaf.

“You don’t have to scream. I can hear you,” Maisey whispered, groggy. She lay there for a minute before she managed to say, “Oh, no.”

“Oh no what? Are you sick and didn’t tell us?” Cherilyn barked.

“No. It’s happening again.” How, she wasn’t sure, but it was.

“What’s happening?” Carly asked.

“I saw … somebody. And something. But I don’t understand. I bought this hat new. It shouldn’t …” When she’d struggled to sitting, she picked up the hat, and her heart fell into her shoes. “Oh, shit.”

“What?” Cherilyn demanded.

“This isn’t my hat. I picked up somebody else’s hat. It’s not mine. See? It’s got a really, really narrow ribbon for a band. Mine had a wide grosgrain ribbon. Shit, shit, shit. This is somebody else’s hat, and somebody died while they were wearing it.”

Carly planted her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“I wish I were.” Maisey struggled to stand, so Cherilyn and Carly helped her.

This is the third book in this series. Maisey has vowed not to wear anything second hand ever again. Her friends and her are having a girls day at the derby. While at lunch Maisey mistakenly picks up the wrong hat while leaving the restaurant. Looks like fate has other plans for Maisey. The hat is the beginning of another mystery for Maisey and Aaron. Only this time there are bigger players involved. Maisey make not make it out of this one. Aaron loves Maisey and wants to support her during these times but how many times can he take almost losing her before he must make a stand. Maisey gets rapped up in solving the case and doesn't always make the best choices. Will Maisey and Aaron figure out who is behind this before its too late? While Maisey and Aaron make it through as a couple or will her abilities and these mysteries tear them apart.

Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).

What About Now? (Everlasting Ink #4) Release Blitz +Review

Title: What About Now?
Series: Everlasting Ink #4
Author: Kaylee Ryan
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Tropes: Small Town/Age Gap/Tattoo Artist
Found Family/Drunken Vegas Wedding
Release Date: February 11, 2025

BLURB
NYT and USA Today Bestselling author Kaylee Ryan brings you a new standalone series surrounding five best friends who co-own a tattoo studio. "What About Now?" is an age gap, found family, drunken Vegas wedding, small town romance.

Brogan
I didn’t plan on hooking up with my new brother-in-law’s best friend… or marrying him.

Life hasn’t been easy, and it’s left me a little bruised, and a lot cautious. So, when I wake up in Vegas married to Maddox, I’m convinced it’s a mistake. A drunken accident that we should undo before anyone finds out.

But he doesn’t see it that way. He asks for six months. Six months to show me we could be something real. And I don’t know why I say yes, except maybe a part of me wants to believe him.

I’m not sure I deserve someone like him. But with every look, every touch, and every little gesture, Maddox is breaking down my walls.

That’s why the next time he asks "what about now?" I know I'm going to say yes.

Maddox
I always thought Brogan was off-limits. Our paths didn’t just cross, they tangled.

If things didn’t work out between us, it would hurt a lot of people. So I stayed in my lane, convincing myself it was for the best.

Until Vegas.

One too many drinks, a blurred wedding chapel, and a couple of shiny rings later, Brogan wakes up next to me… as my wife.

She’s ready to call it a mistake and move on, but I see it for what it is: fate handing me the chance I’ve been too scared to take.

So I make her a deal. Six months. I’ll prove we belong together, and if she still doesn’t believe it, we’ll walk away. No hard feelings.

But I’m not going down without a fight. Flowers, her favorite coffee—I’ll give her everything she never knew she wanted, including me.

And one of these times when I ask if she believes it yet that were meant to be, I just might get the answer I’m hoping for.

Because I’ve waited long enough to make her mine, and this time, I’m not letting her go.

This is the fourth book in this series. It focuses on Maddox and Brogan. The book begins the morning after the last book ends. The pair wake up in bed together fully clothed and realize they are married. Neither remembers getting married. Brogan wants to get in annulled right away but Maddox wants her to give him six months. The pair have both liked each other for a while but were worried about upsetting the balance by making the other know. But now Maddox figures there is no reason to hold back. He is all in. Now he just needs to get Brogan to realize that they can make it. Brogan still feels guilty about what happened to her sister. To this day she worries and stresses. Maddox is going to do everything he can to help her see that it wasn't her fault, that she deserves to be happy. The group are going to help them both. This series is a great read. The guys are all about ten years older then their women but they treat them like queens. The guys all own a tattoo shop together and are like brothers. The ever lasting ink family just keeps going. I love this series so much. I can't wait for the next book. Fantastic job Kaylee.
