I'm no one's savior.

I work with the Cerberus MC for the thrills, not for the glory.

Saving people who've been trafficked is just a side benefit, coming in second to the adrenaline rush of eradicating some of the evil in the world.

Mia Vazquez didn't seem to get the memo.

When I pulled her out of Hell, she wouldn't let go. She literally wrapped her arms around my neck and refused to release me.

I did the only thing I could do; I held her back.

For weeks I stayed by her side, comforting her and assuring her things would eventually get better.

She managed to climb inside of me, and then she took off.

Mia Vazquez didn't get the memo.

She's mine, and letting go of me doesn't mean I'll let go of her.

This is the first book in the Cerburus MC series that I have read. I have a few but just haven’t read that yet. I loved this book so much. I can’t wait to read the others one I have now. I have read several books by Marie and loved them all. This book focuses Scooter (Ryan) and Mia. He pulls Mia out of a compound after she was taken by sex traffickers. She clings to him now. Scooter is beginning to feel things for Mia he has never felt for another woman. He feels like he doesn’t have a right to feel them either. Then Mia takes off not once but twice. He finds her the first time. The second he waits and hopes she will come back to him. Mia has been through something so horrible it is unimaginable. She must find her way back to herself and deal with the feelings she begins to have for Ryan as well. I can’t say enough about this book. The topic might be hard for some people. But it is real. I felt for both characters. Scooter is amazing. He is so patient with her. She changes his whole life and he doesn’t think twice about helping her. Marie did a fantastic job with this book. This book is definitely emotional and moving. I highly recommend this book.
