This is the second book in the series, they can be read as standalone books. I haven’t read the first and wasn’t confused at all. Yuma is recently back with his brothers. We went of the deep end and they helped him get clean and sober. Lissie is a new detective to the area. She is also recently clean and sober. She has other demons though. Family trouble. She branching out on her own for the first time. These two just share a connection. Lissie is part of team looking into some bodies found in the area. She also is looking to the disappearance of her best friend. Could the two things be linked? This book was different from the other MC books I have read. It seemed deeper and not necessarily about the MC life or the 1% life. I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to reading the first book in the series. Great job Freya.
