This is the second book in the series. They can be read as
standalone books but they are better read in order. Mikhail has become obsessed
with a ballet dancer recently but knows he has issues and they will never be a
thing. Then he learns that this same girl, Bianca is the girl that someone will
have to marry for the truce with the Italians. He volunteers because he can’t
bear the thought of someone else being with her even if they may be better for
her. There is something different about her though. She doesn’t speak because
of an accident. Much like Roman’s marriage Mikhail manages to find the perfect
woman for him. Bianca refuses to be used by her father. He has never really
liked her and is using her sister as leverage to get her to marry this man. But
maybe just maybe it will be the best thing to happen to her. It will get her
away from her father. She knows what it is like to suffer in silence. She bonds
with Mikhail on another lever. Plus, there is more to him than she knew. He is
a father. Mikhail may be hard with everyone else but not with Bianca or his
daughter. This book was even better than the first book. I felt for both Mikhail
and Bianca. I couldn’t put this book down once I started. I am loving this
series more with each book. I can’t wait to read the next book. Wonderful job
