This is the first book I have read by Vikki. I really
enjoyed it. This is the fourth book in the series. They can be read as
standalone books. I haven’t read the others and wasn’t confused at all. Vienna
is a barista at a local coffee house. That is where Zane met her. There is just
something about her. Then one day she gets hurt and he takes her to the
hospital and says she is his wife so that they will tell him things. This
begins their journey. Zane is called by the hospital when Vienna is brought in
by someone else. Something is wrong with Vienna. Her mother died of brain
cancer and she worries the something is going to happen to her. Zane can’t
stand the sadness he sees in her. He can help. They can get married to that she
will have insurance and someone there for her. But they both feel so much more
for the other. I do wish they would have communicated more with each other.
They agree to get married but now they don’t really know where they stand with
each other. They are doing all the things you would in a real marriage but
neither is sure if its just because or if the other person really feels that
way. These characters are wonderful. Both help each other is ways they couldn’t
have imagined. Zane’s brothers are there for him even when they might not agree
with what he is doing. These brothers have been through so much. After reading
this I can’t wait to read the other books in the series. Wonderful job Vikki.
