 BLURB

When the divorced mother of the groom goes head-to-head with the single father of the bride, they might be the next couple experiencing a heart-to-heart.

When my son asked me to take his ticket for the honeymoon that didn’t happen, I balked. What would I do on a ten-day vacation in Belize?

More importantly, what caused my son and the love of his life to call off their wedding?

I didn’t have an answer, and he wasn’t sharing

So, I’d traded places with him.

Over a week of sunshine and me-time was on the docket until he arrived.

Dallas Cole had silver in his beard, eyes the color of an ocean, and the most annoying drawl. And by annoying, I mean, thigh-clenching, heart-hammering, make me want to kiss him swagger.

Only, that’s something I would never do, because he’s the single father of the bride for the wedding that never was, and now, he’s encroaching on my parentmoon.

One house. One bed. Not happening.

So what if he calls me darlin’ in that swoony voice. Not going there despite his smirky grin amongst the gray on his jaw. Not going to think about the fact he saw me naked . . . by accident.

 Nope.

The former father of the bride will only be going head-to-head with this protective mother of the groom, not lips to lips, or any other body part. And definitely not heart to heart.

Tropes: sexy silver fox; later-in-life; genXromance; one-bed; forced proximity; holiday destination; single dad; single mom; he falls first

This was a fantastic read. Jo’s son and Dallas’s daughter were supposed to get married. The wedding was called off last minute and Jo finds herself on her son’s honeymoon. Then the father of the bride arrives. Turns out it is his home she is staying at. When she decides to stay, she and Dallas find themselves spending a lot of time together. Jo thought that Dallas didn’t like her but he isn’t acting that way now. Jo knows that anything they have would only be for the time they are here. A man like Dallas wouldn’t want anything long term with a woman like her. Or could he? This book was a fantastic read. Both Dallas and Jo help each other deal with and overcome the way they feel because of past relationships. Jo has trust issues and image issues. Dallas feels like he isn’t worthy, that woman only want him for his money. There is more to both of them than they allow people to see. I loved this story so much. It has a double happily ever after as well. Both Dallas and Jo are wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading this book. Fantastic job L.B. Dunbar.
