This is the first by Kennedy I have read and I absolutely
loved it. I have to admit I have a slight fascination with serial killer/cases.
Alta is a park ranger and ten years ago something terrible happened to her and
has changed her. Alta is on a case of some women who have gone missing in the
park. Cas has been recruited by his friend in the FBI to help with this same
case. Alta and Cas share an instant connection as soon as they meet. They are
both broken in their own way. Cas can’t help that Alta has gotten under his
skin and evoked a visceral need to protect her at all above everything. As they
investigate the case, they find that all the missing women may be connected to
Alta in some way. The person or persons behind who have been taking the women
maybe closer to Alta than anyone can imagine. This book was just so amazing.
Alta and Cas help each other heal and move forward. I love how alpha male Cas
is. He is the total opposite of the guys Alta has been interested in before.
Since her incident ten years ago she hasn’t been interested in anyone and then
Cas changed everything. This book is an action-packed thriller but still has
romance and some really steamy parts as well. I would love to read more about
these characters in the future. After reading this I also look forward to
reading more of Kennedy’s book. I highly recommend this book.
