This is the first book in a duet. I have read a bunch of Vanessa
books and loved this one just as much as the others. This book has romance, mystery,
and so much more. Emily is a violinist. She has dreams of joining an orchestra.
She fell in love with a boy, Xander. Turns out that there was more to him than
she knew. When he taken completely from her life she won’t give up until she
finds him again. Until she can be with him again. There is more to him than she
could have ever imagined. She is brought into a world of danger and mystery. If
she wants Xander she will have to take someone else as well. Turns out Xander
loves someone else as well. Can she handle that? Can she really deal with what
being a part of their world means? This book sucked me in and I couldn’t put it
down. I can’t to read the second book and see where this story goes next. Vanessa
is a fantastic author. I look forward to reading more books by her in the future.
