This is the second book in this series. They can be read as standalone books though. Declan is the son of the couple from the first book. He is young but he has his stuff together. He doesn’t act like a guy his age. He helps his dad at the shop and is gearing up to take over. Claudia is his sister’s best friend. She has known him his whole life. But one night helping her and her son by the side of the road changes everything for both of them. They begin to see each other as more than friends. He helps her more than her son’s father ever did. While expecting nothing in return. Sure, he is younger than her but that doesn’t have to mean anything. Can Claudia give Declan a chance. How will her son’s father react. Sure, he doesn’t want to help with the boy but that doesn’t mean he wants anyone else to have the chance to either. This book was a fantastic read. I loved it so much. I couldn’t put it down once I started. Declan is mature for his age. He has always wanted a family. Claudia always wanted to be a mother as well. Things didn’t happen the way she wanted but she wouldn’t change anything. Declan’s family is amazing. His family is there for both of them even when things aren’t going smoothly. Dec’s mom especially knows what Claudia is going through. I would love to read more about these characters. Wonderful job once again Laramie. I can’t wait to read more books by Laramie.

This is the first book by Krystal I have read. This book is linked to the Soulmates Shifters in Mystery Alaska series by Krystal. Wrath is a dragon shifter who has recently chosen to stay in Mystery Alaska after being told her mate would be there. Rylee has recently arrived in Mystery Alaska after a horrible break up with her ex. She was also almost killed in a hit and run that she believes her ex is linked to. The two have an instant connection. Wrath knows that she is meant to be his mate now he just needs to convince her they are meant to be together. Wrath is worried. There have been several break-ins lately and they people or escalating. He will do whatever is necessary to protect his mate. Things move in his favor when a tree collapses part of the house Rylee is staying in. It gives Wrath a chance to be close to her and protect her. Especially when it seems someone they know is involved in the break-ins and attacks. This book was a great read. I have added the others from the series to my TBR list and already got the first book. It was free. I look forward to reading more books by Krystal in the future. I love the characters in this book and can’t wait to read about how they come together. I have a feeling I have found a new author to add to my favorites list.
