Bold and brash, Eva MacAteer has spent her life working in her blue-collar family’s construction business. In doing so, she’s had to fight for her own place away from her overbearing father, as well as for her own identity as a woman. Struggling between her loyalty to her brothers and her desire to strike out to be her own person, Eva knows one thing for certain: getting involved with a womanizer, no matter how hot he may be, is not the path for her.

Stud is not one to be tied down to any woman. Fiercely loyal to the club and his single ways, the last thing he expects is to become fascinated by the fiery Eva. He sees his own life reflected in hers and is not quite sure how to handle the connection.

Can two mismatched people find enough common ground to overcome their fears and allow love to grow?

I've had stories in my head since I was a child.  All sorts of stories of fantasy, romance, mystery and anything else that captured my interest.  I'm a voracious reader, and have spent many hours in my life devouring books, therefore it's only fitting I should write a few myself!

I've spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn't mean I'm pigeon-holed into one mold.  I've been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring.  As one of my students said to me once, "Life's too short to ignore the opportunities."   I have no intention of ever stopping so welcome to my story world.  I hope you enjoy it!

Theodora
Hearing my father’s harsh words to Mother root me to the ground outside, “Anastasia, we cannot be expected to ignore this any longer. The Griffins deserve better. Our children deserve better.”
She raises her voice to him, “What do you have me do, Garvan? If the Cherubs disagree with us, that is as far as it will go. If we bring it to the Originals, we could be punished! They will cast us to Sheol as they did the Morning Star for his disagreement with the Hierarchy! Is that what you want for our children? Do you want them cast out of Paradise?”
He counters, “I want them to have a chance!” He deflates, “We can only keep our heads down for so long. Do you not see the effect it has on our children?”
“They are my children. Of course, I see it. Beckett hides his feelings well, but I know where he goes. Paradise is not big enough for his adventurous nature. He and Cassius will never know the joys of binding with someone who can provide them with a family. Theodora has it the worst of them. There is so much expected of her.”
Father interrupts, “More the reason we need to make the first move towards change.”
“Why us?”
“If not us, Anastasia, then who?”
“How do you expect to sway them?”
There is a long pause as my father’s chair in the sitting area creaks with his weight. His tone is gentle as he continues, “If we had a stone from Exillis, they would listen.”
Mother and I gasp in unison. She whispers, “You cannot mean to betray your daughter and The Creator’s wishes. You know Theodora is one of the sentries for Exillis. If a stone goes missing on her watch, she will be punished.”
“It would not be on her watch,” he assures.
“The Creator will know.”
My father stands from his seat, “Then, The Creator shall know, but will you stand by me in this fight? For our children? For our kind?”
Her voice is choked with tears of sadness, “You know I will.”
“So, be it.” He marches through our home and bursts out of the doorway.
I flatten myself against the mortar of our home, hoping I am not seen. I watch my father’s broad form walk with purpose down the road of golden glass. His blue sash billows behind him. He has never openly shown his affection towards us. He has always been quiet, reserved, yet harsh when needed. This side of my father is unnerving. It scares me.
The eight stones of Exillis are mighty with power. They have the ability to manifest thought. When the crown, Exillis, belonged to Lucifer, he was able to form his alliance of angels against The Creator. When Lucifer fell from Paradise, a stone was lost from Exillis. It fell to Earth and split into two pieces, five hundred miles apart. Both pieces were discovered by man and forged into Divine relics. The first relic is the chalice. The second relic is a tablet with the secrets of ancient substances and transmutations. Both have been known by man to bring what the heart desires to reality.
Suddenly, I see the possibilities of what a single stone of Exillis can achieve. I want to help my father create equality for our kind. A plan begins to form in my mind. It would be simple. If my father needs a stone of Exillis to ensure our equality, I will get it for him.

The Rule Breaker Release Blitz +Giveaway

Title: The Rule Breaker
Author: Cat Carmine
Genre: Steamy Romantic Comedy
Release Date: July 12, 2018
Blurb
He’s the bad boy … but I’m the one breaking all the rules.

I’ve always been the quintessential good girl. I don’t just follow the rules — I write them. As an advice columnist, I’m always telling people how to not screw up their lives.

So you’d think I’d know better than to bang some random guy in a bar bathroom.

Nope. Apparently not.

Now I’ve got even bigger problems, though. Because it turns out that wasn’t just some random guy. It was Tyler Grant. Rich. Playboy. Devastatingly gorgeous. Oh, and the publisher of my new dating advice book.

All my instincts are telling me to run like hell. It’s what I’d advise anyone else to do.

Nope. I’ve had a taste, and I’m hooked.

Now I’m calling him at ungodly hours and showing up at his house drunk and begging for sex and tacos. In other words, breaking every rule in my own damn book.

Of course, you don’t have to be an advice columnist to know a bad boy and a good girl are never going to work out. Someone’s going to get their heart broken.

And my guess? It isn’t going to be him.

Murder Girl (Lilah Love #2) Blog Tour

Title: Murder Girl
Series: Lilah Love #2
Author: Lisa Renee Jones
Release Date: July 10, 2018

New York Times bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones returns with the second book in her electrifying series featuring Lilah Love, an FBI profiler who doesn’t fight her dark side—she embraces it.
It’s Lilah Love’s job to inhabit a killer’s mind. The unapologetically tough FBI profiler is very comfortable there. But her latest case is making her head spin. It’s a string of brutal assassinations carried out across the country, each tied to a mysterious tattoo. Body by body, she’s followed the clues all the way back to her hometown. And every step of the way, the killer has been following her.
Here, beneath the glamour of the privileged Hamptons community, is a secret long buried but never forgotten. It’s bigger than Lilah. It’s powerful enough to escape the reach of the FBI. And it’s more personal than anyone can imagine. Because it’s hiding in Lilah’s own past. To fight it, she’s forced to turn to her lethally tempting ex, Kane Mendez. He’s an expert at bringing out Lilah’s darkest impulses. If she plans to survive, she’s going to need them.

I enter the building and ignore the pretty brunette behind the triangle-shaped stone desk and head to the stairs.
“Excuse me,” she calls out, but I ignore her. Kane knows I’m coming. He has people watching me and this building. He knows I’m in the building by now. I don’t need “sweet thing” down there to announce me in yet another way. I’m at the top of the stairs before she finishes her fourth excuse me, which is now a bit louder, as if I just haven’t heard her the other three times. I turn down the hallway and walk toward the desk outside Kane’s office where Tabitha sits, minus any more originality today than the last time I was here. She’s still bleached blonde, with her fake, giant-ass boobs hanging out of a silk blouse with numerous buttons undone that turn it into a slut show that could have been professional.
I pass her without a word, approaching Kane’s double doors, when she says, “Drama follows you, Lilah Love.”
“No,” I say without looking at her. “Dead bodies follow me.” I glance over my shoulder at her. “You should remember that.”
And with that statement that really had no purpose other than it felt really damn good, I open Kane’s door.
I step inside Kane’s office and find him sitting behind his desk, just in time to hear him say, “She’s here,” into his intercom and then release the button.
With exaggerated drama that I reserve for moments when I want to be a smart-ass or simply announce my fucking presence, I use my body to shut the door, but I don’t hang out and wait for it to grow roots. I rotate and charge toward Kane and that King Mendez desk of his that he doesn’t get to use as shelter. By the time I round the wooden atrocity, he’s standing, towering over me in a charcoal suit and a purple shirt with black stripes and some sort of black-and-gray tie. It’s flashy, expensive, and works on him when it would not on nine out of ten other people. But then, while I keep a low profile—aside from the door drama, of course—and favor my black nondescript looks, his entire persona says “look at me” with the intended message of “I have nothing to hide.” A lie he tells the world and, after he drugged me to keep me from knowing what happened last night, apparently me.
We stand there for a beat or ten without words before he says, “Lilah,” and the very fact that he says it like sex is all it takes for me to snap.
I slap him in the face, because my bare fist is too small to hurt him the way his jaw would hurt me. It’s also a disgrace to a man to be slapped, which is why one UFC fighter I’ve watched here and there does it to his opponents. And Kane is my opponent. He turns his head with the force of the blow, my palm stinging in the aftermath.
“Well now, beautiful,” he says, fixing me with a brown-eyed stare. “I know you like it rough, but is now the time? We both have questions we want answered.”
I slap him again, and this time he catches my wrist before I pull back. I try to slap him with my free hand, and he catches it as well, this time before contact. “You get two, not three.”
My gaze flicks to the handprint on his right cheek that matches the one on the left before I meet his stare and say, “Two was pretty damn satisfying.”
“Why didn’t you tell me about your stalker?” he demands, his question low, lethal, his anger banked just beneath the surface, while mine is the cherry on top of every lie he’s told me. “Because we both know that’s what we’re dealing with here,” he adds.
“Let go of me, Kane,” I bite out, my voice taut with impatience. No. Make that a desire to smack him again.
“After you tell me about your stalker and the notes.”
“Let go of me, Kane,” I repeat slowly, “or my next move will be a knee to your family jewels. And I promise you, it will be hard enough that neither of us will have to worry about our urge to fuck ever again.” My jaw sets hard, but he doesn’t release me. “You drugged me,” I remind him, “and then searched my house before leaving me with a gun that I was too drugged to use. So if you think I won’t do it—”
He releases me but doesn’t step back. “I didn’t leave you with a gun you couldn’t use. I kept you at my house until sunrise, and I left a team guarding your place, front and back. I protected you, like I always do.”
I don’t analyze why that makes me angrier. That’s for later. For now, there is this: “I’d pull my gun on you and back you off, Kane, but I swore the next time I did that, I’d shoot you. And I need information from you.”
“I’m all yours, beautiful,” he says, holding his hands out. “I always am.” He motions to the sitting area to his left and behind him. “Let’s sit and make this peaceful.”
“Peaceful, my ass,” I say.

He handed her a glass and clicked his to hers. “To happiness and beautiful people.”
“And official first dates,” she added.
When she finished her glass before him, he poured her another.
“Is there a drinking contest I don’t know about?” he asked.
“No. I need it. I just remembered where we’re going, and I need to relax.” She frowned as she remembered her dates with Todd. They were always awkward. She was always the outsider with his smart lawyer friends, and tonight would be the same with Brandon. She wouldn’t know anyone. This was Brandon’s lifestyle and friends, and she was just an accessory.
“You shouldn’t be nervous. You’re with me,” he soothed, taking her free hand in his. His touch warmed her body. “It’ll be fun. I promise.” He kissed the back of her hand, causing her lower abdomen to flutter at the softness of his lips.
No, don’t do that, a small voice in her head squeaked. Tension spread out from his hand still connected with hers.
She swallowed champagne until a nice buzz settled over her. To letting go and starting over, she mentally toasted. Taking a deep breath, she relaxed into her seat and closed her eyes. “I feel it now. You need to get on my level.”
He chuckled. “Oh, really? And which level are you on?”
“Mmm, about level three and a half. Maybe four.”
He laughed. “I’ll be there with you in a few.” He released her hand, picked up the bottle of champagne, and started to chug it. But then he stopped. “On a second thought, I shouldn’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because I can’t be tipsy and alone with you in that dress in here. I’m already too tempted as it is.”

Blurb
Not every love story begins with a fiery explosion of lust.

Some are tiny embers of hope that smoulder slowly until the stars align…

I’d been living in a bubble.
It was meant to protect me from the things in life that hurt.
I could live, I could laugh, but at least I didn’t have to love.
Loving was dangerous and I would never do it again.

It was working just fine, until the bubble burst.
It let in danger.
It let in light.
It let in…him.

Unknowingly I’d been living in the dark, feeling my way.
He filled my world with starlight.
He showed me how to move on to the next level.
He made me feel again.

I thought the wounds from the past would never fully heal,
But perhaps they only heal when the time is right.

Sometimes you just have to thank your lucky scars.

With trembling fingers, I tapped at my phone screen, sobbing because I connected the call and then cut it off in my haste. I couldn’t handle technology; I just needed him. I was about to throw in the towel and just sit on the curb and cry when it rang. His stupid face appeared on the screen, and my heart leapt. He knew. He knew I needed him.
Choking at the urgency to hear his voice, I tried again to get my fingers to cooperate, and, finally, they did.
“Hello?” There was pleading in my tone. “Ziggy?
There was a short stretch of silence, and I thought maybe I’d fucked up the call again when suddenly he spoke. “Bea? What’s wrong?”
“Zig—” A sob cut me off.
“Bea, where are you? What’s going on?”
“I need you,” I whispered.
“Tell me where?” he said with a steady determination that filled me with exactly the comfort I needed right then. He was coming. It was going to be ok. I looked up helplessly at my surroundings for a road name I could tell him.
“Um,” I faltered. “I don’t know, I—” Fresh tears ran down my face, and I wiped at them with the back of my hand, only then noticing the blood. “Oh God,” I gasped.
“Bea, please. You’re scaring me. Are you hurt?”
“No,” I assured him quickly. “I just…” I didn’t even know where to start.
“I need to know where you are. Calm down. I’m here. Take a deep breath and try to tell me where I need to go to find you. I’m coming. Okay? Now just tell me where.”
I turned in place, looking for something I knew. I walked these streets every day, and they’d never felt so alien to me. He was the only thing that felt safe right then, but guilt swept over me, and I tried to pull myself together. I must have been freaking him out, and that wasn’t fair. Nothing around me seemed familiar, even though I knew it was; I was so disorientated. I needed to do what he told me and take a breath.
He was coming to get me.
It was ok.
“Dean Street,” I told him as soon as I laid eyes on the street sign, relieved to be tuning back in but feeling so stupid that I was so close to home and couldn’t even focus enough to realise it. “At the Shaftsbury Avenue end, on the corner.”
“I’m coming. Please just tell me you’re okay,” he said desperately into the phone.
