My Reveiw of First Ride by Tara Oakes

First Ride (The Slayers MC, #1)First Ride by Tara Oakes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book I have read by Tara Oakes and I enjoyed this one as much as the first. Dawson is the president of the MC Slayers motorcycle club. He is your typical biker. No steady girl, the club is his life and all he needs is that and his club brothers. That is until he meets Molly or as he calls her Angel. She is supposed to dance at the club’s legit business which a strip club but changes her mind at the last minute. The strip club manager doesn’t like this and Dawson steps in. He can tell right away that she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. He is normally really good at figuring people out but not Molly. There is just something about her that makes him want to protect her. That doesn’t change once he finds her story out in fact it just gets stronger. Molly doesn’t fully understand what it means to be a part of Dawson’s life. Dawson makes Molly his ol’ lady but is she ready for what being a part of his life really means? Dawson makes Molly feel safe and Molly brings Dawson a sense of peace. This book is fast paced and completely pulled me in. Molly is young but she has tons of responsibility and people counting on her. According to her she doesn’t need anyone but that changes when she meets Dawson. She may say that she doesn’t need Dawson or anyone else but he doesn’t accept that. He is going to help her even if she doesn’t want it. Dawson will make her see that she does need him even if she doesn’t need anyone else. The other members of the Slayers are great and I am excited to read the books that follow this one is the series to find out more about them. Molly has completely taken Dawson by surprise and changed things for him. Now he has a family himself not just his club family. He will do everything in his power to protect his new family. Will they be able to overcome what is coming their way? This book ends on a kind of cliff hanger but not a horrible one. I am glad to have the second book to read right away. Great job Tara Oakes.

My Review of Ultimate Sin by Clarissa Wild

Ultimate SinUltimate Sin by Clarissa Wild
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Firstly I must say I love Clarissa’s books. I will pick up any of her books and start reading without needing to read the synopsis. I just know that the book will be great and I will love it. This book was no different. Clarissa writes dark romance; something dark is always the main part of the story but romance always finds its way. This book is about a man trying to make up for some of the mistakes he has made in the past. Marcus knows his days are numbered and he is determined to do what he can with the time he has left. Marcus is the leader of an underground crime empire. He buys a girl named Ava and is determined to show her that she isn’t a servant that she is his equal. Then he brings another into the fold a guy named Daniel and is determined to show him the same thing. They find an odd love triangle develops. Marcus doesn’t want Ava to fall in love with him after all he is a monster of the worst kind but that doesn’t stop him from falling for her. Daniel and Ava connect because of the way they have been trained to behave. No matter how much Marcus tries Ava will always she him as a master never as an equal. Clarissa takes us on a wonderful journey with this book. A man with nothing to lose but his life becomes part of a crime empire to one day rule it but can’t live with all the awful things he has done and tries to make amends the only way he knows how. This book took a turn at the end I never saw coming and it made me love the book even more. Clarissa is a fantastic author and I am always greedy for another book from her. This book shows us that even from the darkest pits of hell you can find the light and do the right thing. I really like how there always references in Clarissa’s books that link them in some way. You wouldn’t know it was there unless you read all her other books. They are stand alones but have that small link to the other books. I can’t say enough about how great this book was. Another fantastic job Clarissa.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Becoming (Limitless Novel #3) Cover Reveal

Title: Becoming  (Limitless Novel #3)
Author: Danielle Ione

Gay.

Confused.

Unsure.

Lost.

Lily was all of the above.  She spent her entire life fighting the person she truly was inside.  Lily waged a war on her reflection, hating the things she saw that no one else could.  She refused to accept that she was different in hopes that one day, things would change, that she would be normal.  And it wasn’t until Cambria Miller came into her life, that she started to realize that loving yourself, let you see the beauty in the imperfections.

Cambria let the world see what they wanted; the social butterfly, the logical girl, the one everyone relied on.  But no one saw what was underneath it all; the loneliness, the depression, the hurt that was caused by losing the one you love.  Since the death of her girlfriend, Cambria refused to move forward, letting herself live in a world filled with memories of what she had lost.  But the day Lily became apart of the equation, that all stopped.  The lines she had set blurred until all she could see what the girl she wanted so desperately, despite the fear, the memories, and the shattered heart.

As they come together on the broken path, supporting each other in the journey of discovery; the prospects of their future shatters in a tangled web of lies.  Cambria and Lily are faced with the destruction of Cambria’s past, leaving them wondering if they bond they had was strong enough to survive.

Becoming is part of the Limitless standalone series.  Each book can be read individually, but it is encouraged to read them in order to gain the best experience.

I’m a mama of an amazing set of twins, and a wife to a pretty cool dude. I live off of coffee, books, and sarcasm. I mean, there’s no other way to live, is there? I’m not a romantic person, not really anyway. So I always find it humorous that I only read and write romance, as if it were ingrained in me. My addiction to reading turned into a love for writing. And in all reality, writing is what keeps me sane. Any spare moment I have in my entirely too crazy life, I spend spilling the words from my head onto paper.

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Penelope Ward, comes a new standalone novel.

Sharing a summer house with a hot-as-hell roommate should be a dream come true, right?

Not when it’s Justin…the only person I’d ever loved…who now hates me.

When my grandmother died and left me half of the house on Aquidneck Island, there was a catch: the other half would go to the boy she helped raise.

The same boy who turned into the teenager whose heart I broke years ago.

The same teenager who’s now a man with a hard body and a hardass personality to match.

I hadn’t seen him in years, and now we’re living together because neither one of us is willing to give up the house.

The worst part? He didn’t come alone.

I’d soon realize there’s a thin line between love and hate. I could see through that smug smile. Beneath it all…the boy is still there. So is our connection.

The problem is…now that I can’t have Justin, I’ve never wanted him more.

Author's note – RoomHate is a full-length standalone novel. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.
