 This is the second book in this duet and they must be read in order. I was so eager to read this book after reading the first. These books have romance, mystery, danger, and so much more. This book picks up right where the first one left off. I though I might have known who was behind the fire but I was wrong. Gabrielle goes through a lot in this second book. JD is more protective than ever now. I feel for both Gabrielle and JD. JD is willing to do what ever it takes to make sure nothing ever happens to Gabrielle again. Including never getting to be with her again. I was a little disappointed with the ending. It just sort of wrapped up a little quickly and not with a lot of explanation to me. I really enjoyed this duet and I highly recommend it. It is dark and fantastic. I would love to get to read more about these characters again.
