  ~ Book Synopsis ~
The glory days of Ancient Greece are long gone, and the gods of the Old World are scattered across the globe. As their popularity dwindles, as their worshipers forget, their power fades. Luckily for Aphrodite, she’s a household name. After all, how could anyone ever forget the Greek goddess of Love? Unfortunately, no one seems to know or care about her divinity. In a world of skeptics and technology-crazed mortals, loneliness and boredom have taken hold. Her life consists of romance advice columns, martini bars, and flings with empty-headed men—until she meets Loki. She’s intrigued: it’s been decades—centuries even—since she laid eyes on another god, particularly one outside her pantheon. In their short time together, she realizes just how much she needs the companionship of one of her own. Loki, however, seems more interested in catching a murderous maenad than swapping stories about the old days. Can she convince Loki to stay and make her life a little less lonely, or will he persuade her to join him on his quest for more worshipers? His questionable tactics make her uneasy, but how can she turn down the opportunity to live as she once did: freely, powerfully, and lustfully as Aphrodite of Olympus

My Reveiw:

I personally love mythology of any kind so of course I was intrigued by this one.  I really enjoyed this book.  Aphrodite and Loki getting together can only lead to an interesting read.  The modern world doesn’t worship or even think about gods/goddesses the way they used too.  Because of this the gods/goddesses powers are diminishing.  Some have completely faded away because of this.  Greek gods are stronger because while people don’t worship them they still talk about them.  Loki has hardly any power and has blown through his money.  She he has started a company where he takes care of creatures that humans can’t.  While on a case he runs into Aphrodite at a bar.  They spend a steamy night together and then in the morning she catches him trying to pilfer some of her money for himself.  After a tiny agreement he explains what he was doing in her neck of the woods.  She winds up helping him with his case.  This begins their journey together.   This book was funny, steamy, and had some action too.  As I said I love mythology and look forward to reading more books in this series.  It was interesting reading how the modern world had effected the gods of the old world.  I think the series is going to be very interesting and exciting to read.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.
