This is the third book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone. I just can not get enough of Esther’s books. This one was no different and I loved it so much. Afon is second in command to Tarzan, third in command of the Dudnik circle. He knew the moment he saw Andy that she was meant to be his. Not in a my property way but in a my life way. Andy is going through somethings right now and Afon knows it. He doesn’t want to shelter her or stop her no. He wants to heal her and show her how great they can be together. He doesn’t want to change her he wants to support her in every way. Andy hasn’t lead an easy life she is an Italian mob princess. She has known all her life that certain things are expected of her. She helps run her mob family with her brother. But things are about to get interesting when she learns that Afon has claimed her and her brother has signed a contract giving her to Afon. She will have to realize that Afon isn’t like most other men. He wants her for her not for what she can give him, a connection to her mob family. This book was fantastic and I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it. I love Afon and Andy so much. Really all the characters in this series. Peacock also makes an appearance in this book. They all have each other’s back and will do anything that is needed to protect who they consider family. Afon would walk through the fires of hell for Andy if need be. I just can’t say enough about their story. While not your typically love story theirs is still a love story it just involves some bloodshed. Once Andy realizes that what has happened to her in the past doesn’t affect the way Afon sees her she begins to realize what they could have. He wants her to be whole and happy and would do anything for her. Andy is such an amazingly strong woman. She has been through hell but isn’t going to let what happened keep her down with the help of Afon nothing can stop her.
