I truly enjoyed this book. The characters suck you in and I
felt for them. Gray is a great man but he has demons like any one. His father
left the family ranch that he has been working for the last ten years to him
and his brothers. Trouble is neither of his brothers want the ranch. He doesn’t
want to end up like his father. He wants more out of life. He wants a mother
for his daughter. He notices his neighbor Abby and decides that she would make
a dependable stable partner. Abby has had a crush on Gray just about all her
life. All those times she dreamed of Gray asking her to marry him, this was
never one of them. Does she love him enough for the both of them? Can she deal
with him not returning her feelings? Could she help him and maybe he will develop
feelings for her, she can only hope? This book was an emotional rollercoaster.
I felt for Gray and for Abby. Neither one has ever had it easy and its not
looking up now. Abby has Gray built up in her head, but is that really how he
is? Both of them with have some adjusting to do. I loved this story and look
forward to reading the next book when it comes out. I look forward to reading
some of Caitlin’s other books as well. I highly recommend this book. It was a
great Christmas read.
