This is the third book in the series. While they could be
read as standalone books, I think they are better read in order. It gives you
more context. I think I like this book best in the series so far. Mason is a
member of the Broken Veins. A splinter MC of the Steel Veins MC. Elisha is a
bounty hunter. She has set her sights on collecting the bounty on Mason. Only
there is more to everything than she knows. There is so much more going on with
both of them. Elisha is dealing with some personal things and accepts the
bounty on Mason as a way to avoid it for now. Mason is a member of the club but
there is so much more to him. He wears so many different masks I wonder if he
even knows who he is anymore. He is pulled in so many directions and Elisha
begins pulling him in yet another. I loved this book. Elisha and Mason are such
great characters. They may have met each other under weird and unusual circumstances
but you can’t stop fate. This book had me on edge so much. I really felt for Mason
and everything that was happening to him. Between a rock and a hard place doesn’t
even begin to describe his situation. I can’t recommend this book enough.
