This is the sixth book in this series. They are better read in order. Devante and Eden are both fairly new to Laurel Springs. Devante is a paramedic and Eden owns a coffee shop. They have been getting to know each other. Both feeling like its leading to more. Then Devante finds Eden on the floor of her coffee shop unconscious. Devante is by her side the whole time. Once she is better, he won’t waste anymore time. But Eden has a secret. Someone is coming after her because of something she took. Will Eden trust Devante enough to tell him what she did and who could be coming for her or will she keep her secret? Keeping her secret could cost her the ultimate price. This book is a slow burn romance. Eden and Devante were both weary about the possibility of racism when they moved to Laurel Springs. But instead, they found a group of friends who are more like family. Both Eden and Devante are wonderful characters. I love the characters in this book. They pull me in and make me wish I could be friends with them and live in Laurel Springs. Laramie does a fantastic job of creating this world and these characters. I look forward to more books by her. Great job another book Laramie.
Since self-publishing her first book in May of 2013, Laramie Briscoe has published over 10 books. She's appeared on the Top 100 Bestselling E-books Lists on iBooks, Amazon Kindle, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble. She's been called "a very young Maya Banks" (Amazon reviewer) and her books have been accused of being "sexy, family-oriented, romances with heart".
When she's not writing alpha males who seriously love their women, she loves spending time with friends, reading, and marathoning shows on her DVR. Married to her high school sweetheart, Laramie lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband (the Travel Coordinator) and a sometimes crazy cat named Beau.
