“Here ya go.” Brewer placed the large purple mug on the table just as she opened her eyes. “Smells pretty fancy to me. What is it?”
Picking it up, she licked the whipped cream and took a timid sip. “Vanilla bean latte with an extra shot of espresso.”
“Vanilla?” He shook his head. “You’re anything but vanilla.”
Delphi wrapped both her hands around the large mug. “How do you know?”
He leaned close, blue eyes sparkling. “It’s in your smile.”
She laughed. “My smile?”
“Yep. You’ve got this naughty quality about you.”
Rolling her eyes, Delphi offered him a cheesy smile. “Nope. I’m as vanilla as they come.”
He searched her face. “I don’t believe that for a second.”
She shrugged. “Think what you want. I’ll be enjoying this cup of heaven while you scurry back to whatever hole you crawled out of.”
Brewer licked his top lip, the smile never leaving his face. He wasn’t backing down and neither was she. It both frightened and bewitched her. “I’d like to tame that tongue of yours, but it’d be a waste.” He stood, replacing the beanie to his head. Almost instantly, she missed the mussed hair.
“Why’s that?”
Placing one hand on the table and the other on the back of her chair, Brewer trapped her in the seat. He rubbed his lips together and let out a low sigh. “Because I’d rather let it roam free against mine instead.” He moved closer, his nose brushing against hers.
Delphi couldn’t breathe. He was close enough to kiss, and she desperately wanted to bite the lip hidden beneath his bushy beard.
“Keep looking at me like that, and I won’t be able to control myself.” He pressed a feathery light kiss to her cheek. “And if that happens, I’ll want to see how vanilla you truly are behind that fiery façade.”

This is the fourth book in this series. I think they are
better read in order. Brewer and his sister are looking for their old VP,
Shovelhead. He is a traitor to the MC. They believe that he killed their parents
among other things. Delphi is friends with Jupiter from the third book. She has
been told her whole life to stay away from bikers. She did date one before but
that didn’t turn out well so why try again. Her parents recently died and on
her father’s deathbed he told her he wasn’t her bio dad. That it was a biker. Brewer
and Delphi’s worlds are about to collide in more ways than one. Brewer is taken
by Delphi. He loves her sass and that she isn’t falling all herself to be with.
Delphi is attracted to Brewer as well. But she has been down that road before.
What if everything he says is just to get in her pants? Brewer is different
though. All Macha men are. Maybe Brewer and Macha can help her find out who her
father is. Then there is her ex who is having a hard time excepting that she
doesn’t want anything to do with him ever again. This book was a great read. I
love Macha men. They are one big family and protect their women above all else.
Delphi is friends with Jupiter and quickly becoming friends with the other
ladies in the club. She is learning not all bikers are the same. Brewer just
wants to love her and be there for her. This book has romance, danger, and
action. It has some emotional moments. I can’t wait to read more books in the series.
