Paisley instantly falls in love with Evelyn. There is something dark about Caleb but instead of scaring Paisley it makes her want to get to know him and his darkness. Quickly the three of them become a unit. But what happens when what brought Caleb and Evelyn to Time River comes to find them here in their new home? Will Caleb run once again or will he stay and fight with Paisley at their side? Is Paisley safer with them or better off away from them? This book was a fantastic read. Evelyn and Caleb are dealing with something horrible that brought them to this new town. Paisley is just what they needed. She brings Evelyn out of her shell and helps Caleb learn to love again. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. These characters are fantastic. They feel so real. They made me wish I could help them. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Wonderful job A.L. Jackson. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
