BLURB
Unlikely friends. An undeniable attraction.

Telling everyone my best friend, Max, and I are dating was a panic move. But when my younger sister announced her engagement, I knew my parents were going to crank up the pressure cooker to see me settle down.

We were polar opposites. A tattooed bar owner and a straight-laced math teacher. Who’d actually believe it? I knew he’d play along, though.

The plan was simple. Fake date through all the wedding festivities, then stage a break-up. We were so close to pulling it off. That is, until the chemistry between us felt all too real.

To save our friendship, I tried to ignore the magnetic pull. Every thought betrayed me. He made me happier than I ever dreamed possible. If only I knew he felt the same way.

This is the second book in this series. I think they are better read in order. Zoe and Max have been friends since they were children. They met when they both had family members in the hospital. Now her sister is engaged. Her mother is on her about not having a boyfriend. She panics and says her and Max are dating, knowing he will go along with it. Its not exactly a hardship since they are both attracted to each other. They both begin to really allow themselves to see the other. The only problem is that they are both so scared to lose their friendship that they don’t want step over that line. Zoe is a math teacher with a creative side. Max is a bar owner. They both carry their fair share of baggage. Max is more willing to step over that friendship line into more. He can see how great things could be. Can he convince Zoe or will he mess things up royally? Zoe worries the bar will always come first for Max. I really enjoyed this book. I wish that Max and Zoe would just talk more about how they feel instead of keeping it to themselves. I feel like they have missed out on so much by keeping how they feel to themselves. But also, that maybe it wouldn’t have worked between them before now. I look forward to reading more books in this series. These characters are wonderful. Great job Lea.
