I love Dahlia’s books and this one was no different. I have
read almost every book she has written and always look forward to a new one by
her. This is the second book in this series and I think they need to be read in
order. Freddie is a nurse for cancer patient and loves his job. However, the
recent loss of patients, his bigot neighbors, and other stress has him near his
breaking point. Taine is a rugby player who recently retired and moved away
from London for some peace and quiet. He never expected to find a man who’s far
too young for him but that he desperately wants. When Taine finally gets up the
nerve to ask out Freddie they will have their share of bumps in the road to
overcome. Both men have their own worries about being together but will the way
they feel about each other be enough to see them through? Both Freddie and
Taine are great characters. This book also links to After the Scrum by Dahlia.
I recommend reading this book as well but not necessarily before the first book
in this series. This book does take you on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster.
I felt for both men and how neither was completely secure and they had worries.
I feel it made them more believe able. I can’t wait to read the next book in
this series and see who falls in love next and read their journey.
