Review
This is the first book I have read by Natasha. I read the
prequel to this first and I highly recommend reading it first. It got me hooked
and eager for the full story. Eve and Zack meet when she went to him and his
men for help. It turned out that by asking for help Eve may have caused
everyone’s death. She has been living with this guilt for two years. Except she
is about to learn that isn’t the case. Things are more complicated than she
could have ever imagined. Zack almost died two years ago and he thinks Eve was
in on it. He lost six of his men because he let his feelings for a woman
override everything. Now he is back and wants revenge. He will find out why she
was spared and who spared her. If she was in on it or just another pawn in a
bigger scheme. More people are involved than Zack knew and when he finds out
who was behind it he will be beyond pissed. This book has mystery, romance, and
lots of steamy scenes. I love Zack and Eve. This book was an interesting read.
Different from most military books. Had a darker edge to it. There is a lot
going on that they have to wade through to find out who is really behind
everything. Zack tries to fight his feelings for Eve for a good part of the
book. He feels like he was fooled by her once and doesn’t want to happen again.
Eve wants to believe that her brother can be saved, but can he? I don’t want to
give any spoilers away. This book is a great read and I highly recommend it. I
look forward to reading more books by Natasha in the future.
