This is the second book in this series. Carter lost his girlfriend years ago and hasn’t been the same since. He blames himself even though there is nothing he could have done. It was an accident. Biilie Bishop had a difficult childhood. Her mother woke her one night and sent her away. She has been on her own for the last several years. When Carter runs into her several times and can’t stop thinking about her he hopes to run into her again. And he does. Only to find out that she lives right across the hall from him. She wakes up parts of him that he never thought he would feel again. Billie is leery of trusting anyone especially a man with the way she has grown up. Billie makes Carter’s protect instincts flair. He carries around so much guilt from his ex’s death and feels like he doesn’t deserve Billie but he also can’t leave her alone. I loved this book. Carter is an amazing man. He goes out of his way to give Billie as much as she will allow him give her. They both manage to help each other is ways they never imagined. This book made me laugh one minute and tugged at my heart strings the next. I can’t wait to read more books in this series. You should read this book/series.

Author Bio
Anna began writing when she thought the world would want to hear her sick lyrics through song. Since then, she's realized her childhood dream wasn't so far-fetched, just misguided. Now she writes romance with real emotions and happy endings. If Anna isn't writing or reading, she can be found by a space heater painting her nails and drinking a ridiculous amount of Diet Dr Pepper. She also likes to hang out with her husband and two boys. If it wasn't for them, she wouldn't ever leave the house. Anna was born in Wisconsin but now lives in the Evergreen State.
