This is the first book by Katee I have read. I loved it.
This cover is everything. I love how it looks like an old school bodice buster
cover. Briar Rose may have a fairytale sounding name but her life has been far
from it. This book starts right in the action. There isn’t a lead up or
anything. Briar makes a deal. The demon with free her from her husband in
return for seven years of service. She expected the service to be hard and
unpleasant. She didn’t expect to be part of an auction of sorts. But what if
the monster you are given to is way less than the monster you made the deal to
get away from. Briar Rose knows a real monster and Sol may look like one but is
so far from one. Sol is a dragon. He didn’t expect to feel something for the
human girl. What happens now? Can he convince her that they can have something?
I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to read the rest in the series as
they come out. The characters are fantastic. There is a lot of heat and steam
in this book, and two peens. Lol. Katee you have done a fantastic job with this
book. After reading this book I look forward to reading more of Katee’s books.
