This is the second book in the series. I recommend reading
them in order. Blackjack enjoys gambling and he is good at it. That is how he
meets Elyse. Elyse finds herself in an unbearable situation that isn’t even her
fault. Her father left them and now she is on the hook for his debt with the
guy he borrowed money from. She could never come up with the money she is
asking for. Elyse finds herself even deeper when she finds herself pregnant.
Now she must go to the man who she robbed and ask for help. Mayhem doesn’t believe
her at first but when she shows up a second time in worse condition, he must
decide what to do. Sure, she robbed him but maybe once he knows why he will
change his mind. After all he hasn’t stopped thinking about her since that night.
How will Blackjack handle seeing his brothers possible show interest in her? Blackjack
is torn between being attracted to her and what she did. He has never felt like
this about anyone else. This book was a fantastic read. I was eager to read it
after the taste of it at the end of the first book. This book has a twist at
the end that totally caught me by surprised. These characters are amazing. I can’t
wait to read more books in this series. Jessica does a fantastic job creating
these characters and their world.
