Author Bio:
For those who do not know me, I am the author of romance novel Impulses and the upcoming romantic suspense/mystery trilogy, The Dark Evoke Series.
Raised in a creative family, witnessing one another expressing themselves through creativity, albeit musically or through a form of literature, it was only a matter of time before my passion for devising characters and their unique stories in their own world, began to form and grow. From there the seed was sown and flourished into a young girls dream.Throughout the years I have often toyed with the idea of pursuing this path, yet unknowing where to begin. There are so many routes in this day and age to help get from A to B, that the dream was both tangible and terrifying. So with that, and after a few months of kicking myself into gear thanks to a certain someone, I decided to self-publish, and that decision was most probably one of the best decisions I have ever made.I am a mother of a five year old son who knows how to keep me on my toes, and married my high school sweetheart 6 years ago. I can't express how supportive and understanding both have been while pursuing this journey. If I'm not writing I'm constantly thinking about writing and can be found either chasing my son around, or with my nose in book.

My Review:

Imagine waking up in the hospital and not knowing how you got there.  The last thing Kady remember is celebrating her 24th birthday.  She is frustrated and confused that she doesn’t remember anything from that time.  Her boyfriend or the man she remember being her boyfriend she there but so is another man Walker.  When she is released Liam takes her home on the way he shows her the business she owns.  The only problem is that he takes her home in a car she doesn’t remember buying, to a bakery when she can’t even boil, and to a neighborhood she would never want to live in.  She asks questions to try to remember things but the only person she can ask doesn’t really answer her questions.  She is beginning to feel trapped in her life.  As time goes by she gets this sense of dread.  Liam has to go on a business trip and she decides to use the time he is gone to try and remember the last few years.  She isn’t prepared for what she learns or how Liam is when he returns.  I really enjoyed this book.  It was emotional and I could feel her confused while reading.  I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.  I loved the Walker character.  He turned out different than I expected him to be but I still loved him.  I was worried about Liam from the beginning of the book.  Katy was by far my favorite character.  She was determined to find out how her life changed so much from what she could last remember.  She didn’t just sit around complaining and crying that she couldn’t remember.  She may not have liked what she found out but she didn’t let someone else decide how she was going to live just because she couldn’t remember.  V. L. Brock is a great author.  The book was so well written and I totally connected with the characters.
