Never Me Blog Tour + Review

KateStewart_BlogTour2.png

Synopsis:
I was a thief of men…a whore.
Not the conventional type that got paid for sex. I was the girl you talked about in your sad inner circle. The girl you shielded your boyfriend from as you cleverly covered him with your body when I came near.
I was a threat to you.
Keeping him safe in your grasp was smart.
One week...one incredible week was all it took to forever change me.
I was NEVER going to be you … until I met HIM

My Review:

As soon as I read the synopsis I knew I wanted to read this book.  Nadine hides herself.  She doesn’t even realize she is doing it.  She uses sex as a defense.  She only sleeps with guys that are unavailable.  She would tell you herself that she is whore; you should keep your boyfriend away from her.  She only has sex with a guy once and once they are done she makes him leave.  She calls her dad to ask for some money.  She lets him know that she choose to except her degree early and not walk with her graduating college class.  Her dad is so proud of her that he agrees to give her the money as a mix of college and a birthday gift.  When she checks her bank account he gave her $16,000.  She runs next door to tell her friend.  They decide they are going to go on a road trip to the ocean as she has never been to the ocean before, so they head to Pensacola, Florida.  Once there see runs straight into the ocean fully dressed.  They run into another group of friends who are on a road trip themselves.  Spencer is unlike any guy Nadine has ever met.  There is just something different about him.  Of course she is attracted to him, which is weird itself because he doesn’t have a girlfriend.  Spencer and Nadine begin playing a game.  Spencer just wants to see the real Nadine not the front she hides behind.  Nadine isn’t sure she can do that.  She wants to stop doing what she has been doing but isn’t sure how to or if she can allow herself to be that vulnerable.  Thus begins their wonderful journey together.  It isn’t like a normal journey.  It takes years for them to get their happily ever after.  I loved this book.  It was different from the normal romance books.  It kept me guessing what would happen next.  I loved the character Nadine.  She goes through so much through out the book.  She really opens up and stops hiding and discovers herself.  Spencer is great too.  He helps Nadine be better and finds out things about himself in the process.  The book as a whole was fantastic all the characters were great and brought out different parts in each other.  The book was very well written and sucks you in to the story.  I look forward to reading other books by Kate Stewart.
