This is the second book in the series. I haven’t read the
first one and wasn’t confused so they can be read as standalone books. Namoriee
has lead a hard life. She is the Lady Chief’s handmaiden. Tyronian warned
Namoriee that she would be his but that he would give her two winters. That
time is now. She thought that maybe he wouldn’t come for her but he did. She
doesn’t believe she is worthy of him. As much as she doesn’t want to want him
she does. He makes her feel like no man ever. When Tyronian comes and tells her
they are to be married and then marries her she is standoffish at best.
Tyronian wants her to want him the way he wants her. He has asked for one
winter to accept him. Namoriee is partly angry because her choice was taken
away and partly because of how she feels when she is around Tyronian. Will they
find a way to be together or will all Tyronian’s waiting be for nothing? I
really liked this book and the first one is already on my TBR list. I felt for
both Tyronian and Namoriee. Tyronian is different from most men because he
doesn’t just take and demand. He wants to woo Namoriee and for her to fall in
love with him as he has with her. Namoriee has been through so much and is
confused. She is young, only 18 and Tyronian is 29. I was totally hooked once I
started to read this book and couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this
book. I look forward to reading more book by Nicole in the future.
