This is the second book in this series. While they can be read as stand-alone books, I think they are better read in order. Nella Freling has come to Montana looking for her sister, Pippa. Pippa travels alone in her camper but Nella knows something is wrong because she hasn’t heard from Pippa in days. Nella keeps running into Fletch. He wants nothing to do with her until he finds her hanging off a cliff. He decides that he needs to help if for no other reason than that he needs to make sure she doesn’t get hurt herself. Fletch soon learns that Nella won’t be deterred. Fletch is still haunted by things he experiences while in the military. He is a loner but there is something about Nella. He is drawn to her. He worries though that he will fail her as well. But could they help each other. Nella has pushed herself to be a certain way for her sister. Could they help each other grow and change? I love the characters in this series. I also like that it focuses on older people finding their other halves. So many books are about twenty somethings finding their happily ever after. Nella is feisty and goes through a bit of self-discovery in this book. Fletch is a grumpy man but for Nella he will be different. I can’t say enough about this book. I can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out. Fantastic job Freya.
