This is the sixth book in this series. They can be read as standalone books but they are better read in order in my opinion. This book focuses on Maxxy and Hoodoo. Maxxy and Hoodoo both have penpals they have feelings for but they have never met. Things get interesting for them when Hoodoo is told to help out Maxxy at the plantation. They begin to develop feeling for each other. Both of confused and fighting those feelings though. How could they be feeling things for each other and for their pen pals. Maxxy is having some issues with someone from her past. She is being forced to make a decision she doesn’t want to. Would the club help or would the danger of helping be too much for the club to take on? This book was a fantastic read. I love these characters so much. I was excited to finally get to read their story. This series gets better with every book. I can’t wait for the next one. These guys are fantastic and always there for each other. They welcome the woman in and know that they are fragile and can only make them stronger. Fantastic job KE Osborn. I look forward to reading about the other Defiance chapters.
