Honey, mead, and death threats.
George Bernard Sheth loves his pug and his bees. People? Not so much. He spends his days in his garden and with his beehives. Since moving to Dufftown, Scotland, several years earlier, all the honey he produces goes to a local mead brewer he’s had a crush on.
Murphy Baird loves the entire process of brewing from start to finish. He particularly likes spending time with his honey provider. All of his mead is served at the pub attached to his brewery.
With the help of meddling friends, the two have been plodding their way towards a first date. However, it all goes pear-shaped when a customer dies under suspicious circumstances in the middle of a mead tasting. Murphy soon finds himself in the crosshairs of a police inquiry almost immediately.
They find themselves in the middle of a burgeoning romance while navigating a confusing murder mystery.
Can they avoid death threats and arrest long enough to make it to their first date?

This is the first book in a new series by Dahlia. George and
Murphy have liked each other for a while but haven’t said anything. Murphy
finally gets up the courage with some prodding by friends to ask George to
attend his Mead tasting event with him the next night. Things get interesting
when someone is murdered at the mead tasting and Murphy is taken away by the
police for questioning. There is no doubt that Murphy had nothing to do with it.
George and his cousin have some guesses at to who some suspects may be. George,
Murphy, and some friends are on the case. They want to figure out who killed
the man in Murphy’s pub. This was another wonderful cozy mystery by Dahlia.
These characters were wonderfully funny and sweet. George is on the spectrum
and loves his bees and his pug. Murphy is a giant teddy bear of a man with a
sweet side. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. This is a m/m book so
if that isn’t your thing you may want to skip this book. There is no sex at all
in the book. Just sweet hand holding and a bit of kissing. Fantastic job Dahlia.

Dahlia Donovan wrote her first romance series after a crazy dream about shifters and damsels in distress. Dahlia is an autistic who prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters. She has found great happiness with her husband, her tiny dog Bacon, and her collection of books and video games.
Dahlia has worked over the years as a teacher, insurance adjuster, and even had a brief stint as the pianist in a band–very brief, like three weeks. She uses her experiences as a TCK travelling around the world during the first twenty-years of her life to add spice to her stories.
