This is the second book in the series. This book time line
wise starts about ten years before the first book. They do line up time line
wise later in the book. Ric is medically discharged for the SEALs and is in
limbo with what to do next. Erin is loving her life. She lives with her partner
and loves her job as a teacher. Both their lives change in a single day. Ric
gets a job through his uncle. He is just supposed to be a bouncer but when he saves
the bosses life things change. Erin just went out with some friends to celebrate
the end of the school year. She got into a taxi to head home but the taxi didn’t
take her home. Now they are both in a situation they don’t know how to get out
of. Ric is a guard and Erin has been kidnapped and is forced into a life of sex
slave. The two form a bond. Ric wants to get them out but how. The boss won’t hesitate
to kill Ric, his mother, and Erin. Will there ever be a time where he can same
them? This book takes place over a ten-year span. I felt for Erin and Ric. It
took me a minute when I first started reading to figure out how it related to
the first book. But once I figured it out, I was excited to see where the story
went. All the characters are so well written. I do wonder if there will be
another book in the series. This book was a great read and I really enjoyed it.
Kimberly is a wonderful author. I look forward to reading more of her books in
