“Brenna, my life’s been shit since we broke up. The only thing I have is the ranch and even that is a pain in my ass most days. I did build a house, one I thought you’d like. Besides that, I live, breathe, and almost die for that ranch. I’ve not been a saint since we broke up, I’ll be honest, but I’ve never had another girlfriend or fiancée. Best I could call it was hookups when I needed, you know, some relief.”I can feel my face getting hot and she’s looking at me, trying not to laugh at my discomfort.“Go ahead and laugh. Not only was it far and few between, I’d drive into the city so it wasn’t someone from around here. Mom has been on me to try and find a bride to help me, but there’s only one woman I want as my bride. No, I won’t put any pressure on you, Brenna. I’m just trying to be honest and upfront. Now, I know you’ve had a really long day, I’ll get outta your hair. Maybe we can grab a bite to eat sometime. Your call. I’ll leave the ball in your court.”

This is the sixth book in the series. They are better read in order. The last book kind of set this one up. Someone from Raven’s past makes a reappearance.  She has kept her past separate from the club. Now she is going to have to tell the club about everything that has happened. Sixth years ago Raven thought her life was going to turn out one way and everything changed. Now that person who changed her life is back. Will she let him explain what happened? Ash didn’t want to do what he did but he didn’t see another way. His father turned out to be completely different then the whole family knew. His father threatened Ash’s mother, Raven, and Raven’s sisters. He was trying to protect everyone. Now his mother has told him to tell the truth and let things fall as they do. Everyone’s life has been altered already so they should know why and who is responsible. Turns out Thunder Cloud Knuckle Brotherhood has been hiding out in their town and are making themselves known now. The club has been fighting these guys for a while. Now the club is realizing how close they have been for a while and how many people close to them have been affected by the racist group. Raven will need to decide if she is willing to hear out her ex, then if she wants to forgive him. Most importantly she will need to decide if she wants to open her heart to Ash and try again. A lot of happen over the years. They have both grown and changed. Their families have always been close. Both their families have been affected by Ash’s father and the group his connected too. This book was a wild ride. Raven is the clown of the club. It was heart broken learning all that she has been through all because of a selfish racist man. The whole club is involved in this one more than the others. Everyone is hurt and must push through. Learning that their town is in trouble makes everything worse. I love these ladies and these books are fantastic. Once again, I couldn’t put the book down. I need the next one. Lol. Fantastic job once again D.M. Earl. I highly recommend all of D.M. Earl’s books. She is wonderful author.

She lives in Northwest Indiana married to her best friend who was instrumental in the start of her writing career in 2014.
