Didn’t you get the hint yet? I’m not a nice guy. I’m the man you need to fear. Hell, I sell fear. We call it protection, but in the end? Fear is what they want in return for their payment. I’m Grigory ‘Ford’ Dudnik, head of The Dudnik Circle. The Russian Mob, in case you need a label. We take care of threats, gangs, enemy or distasteful situations our clients may find themselves in. We have an obligation to do what’s wrong on a regular basis but even within the fine lines of murder and just plain old handling shit, we’ve got honor.
If that’s not enough…I’ve managed to tangle myself up with the head of another gang. Tarzan. Type of person? Hanged a man at a construction site, climbed the rope and stomped on the guy’s neck while swinging on the rope. Seems like Tarzan wanted to kill him twice.
My past and future seem to collide as we are contracted to handle a gang connected with snuff films. Loose ends are now left dangling; I either need to grab hold of the ropes and string knots or cut ties. Or feel the burn of the rope around my throat, leaving no room for revenge.

*** This steamy, dark, kinky, standalone romance is not for the faint of heart. You’ve been warned. ***

This is the first book in this series however I love all of this Esther’s books and eagerly picked up this book without reading the synopsis.  Ford is head of the Dudnik Circle gang.  Ford has gone and gotten himself in a bit of a spot.  He has a way of picking up women that isn’t actually conventional.  Will out one night he picks up a girl and later when he learns who she really is when things get interesting.  Tarzan is the leader of the Russian Doll gang.  She too has an unconventional way of picking up men in fact it’s similar to Ford’s way.  Turns out Ford picked up Tarzan.  Both Ford and Tarzan’s past are just as connected as their present.  Due to an event in their past they both haven’t been with any one even though they pick people up.  Once they learn how their pasts are connected will they be able to have a future together?  They are drawn together and both do things with each other they have never done with anyone else before.  There are others things they have to face besides their intertwined pasts.  There is another mafia boss who wants Tarzan for himself.  As well as another gang kidnapping girls and making snuff films.  This other gang is also connected to Ford’s past.  Will he able to straighten everything out and claim the only girl he has ever felt anything for or will he lose everything?  This book is fantastic and I can’t wait to read more from Esther.  I love how the different series kind of tie in together.  All the characters in this book are fantastic.  The book is kind of fast paced but easy to follow and keep up with.  There are some twists and turns in this book for sure.  Esther is a fantastic author who creates worlds that just pulls you in.  I was totally hooked once I started reading and read the book in a couple of hours.  The characters she writes have such depth to them and seem so real.  I can’t say enough about this book and Esther’s other books.
