This is the second book in this series. This book picks up right after the first one ended. Diesel has left his club to try and ensure his son’s safety. He fears that someone in the club is helping his ex. He would give his life to protect his son and if that means leaving his club and brothers that’s what he will do and has done. Rory is on the run as well. She has been in Whitefish for awhile and feels safe but that doesn’t mean she is. Her life is going okay and then she meets her neighbor, Noah. He is an @ss most of the time but there is just something about him, a pull. Diesel has been burned by women he has given pieces of himself to before and he won’t let that happen again. He has his son to worry about and he has to come first no matter how Diesel feels about the woman. This book was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster ride. No matter what Rory does or how much to does for Diesel and his son Diesel doesn’t trust her completely. He is always waiting for that moment where she proves that she is going to hurt him or his son. That she is up to no good. Rory seems to get hurt over and over again. She has been hurt enough in the past. Frankly I understand where Diesel is coming from but I get so angry with him in this book for the way he treats Rory in this book. I can’t wait for Rory’s book. This book does end on a cliffhanger so be warned. I loved this book and look forward to reading more by Jordan in the future.
