My name is Sloane, but people call me a variety of names, particularly after they read my books. If you’ve read them, I’m sure you can use your imagination to work them out. I was born in England and have lived in small towns and cities ever since.

At school I drifted through, achieving average grades. I fell into administration and sales jobs, thinking that I couldn't really do anything else, despite always wanting more.

In 2015 I stumbled into the indie world by accident. I emailed a certain indie author after falling head over heels for her books, and she became one of the best friends I will ever have. She’s a gladiator! But she pulled me in, and took me to my first book signing. She encouraged me to start my blog. She encouraged me to put my art out into the world, first with teasers & covers.
Then when I finally told her about my stories, she encouraged me to put them out there. Between her and the one I love the most – thank you, Lauren Rowe - (my twinnie, and my best friend) I found the confidence to put myself out there, and the rest, as they say, is history.

This is the first book I have read by Sloane and I loved it.
This book is dark and nothing is as it seems. These are Dark Fae and there are
always alternative motives involved with them. Emilia life changed one day when
the boy she could have loved, Cade, killed her twin. Now years later she is
going to be forced to compete for the chance to be his queen. Her father is
holding the man she currently loves hostage and doing who knows what horrible
things to him to get her to agree to compete for queen. How much is Emilia
willing to sacrifice. Her love with be released and her brother will get to
come home but, her life will no longer be her own. This book takes you on one
wild ride. Nothing is as it seems. Cade is who he appears to be. He too is just
doing what he needs to do to survive his father. His brother is her only advocate
in the castle. She is forced to go through several trials in competition to be
Cade’s bride. The ending is killer though. I didn’t see it coming at all. I can’t
wait to read the next book. The characters in this book are fantastic. I was
completely pulled into this book and couldn’t put it down. I look forward to
reading more books by Sloane in the future.
