This is the fourth book in this series. I haven’t read the other books in this series but I think it would have been better if I had read them in order. Ridley is a tough woman. She doesn’t really let people get close even her family. She really only has a few close people. She has been through some horrible things. Now she is ready to do what is necessary to protect those closest to her. Leif is a tattooist. He sees Ridley and is interested right away. He knows he is going to have a tough time getting her to allow him close to her. Ridley wants to put off Leif but only because of how he makes her feel. She doesn’t have time for that right now. She is on a mission. But what if he could help her not hinder her? This book was a great read. I was hooked right from the beginning. I have added the other books in the series to my TBR lsit. I can’t wait to read them. I love E.M. Shue. She is a fantastic author. These characters are great. This book is action packed and has a bit of spice as well. I can’t wait to read more books in this series. Congrats on a great book E.M. Shue.
