MY REVIEW
Calianna has just quit her job. She broke up with her boyfriend not to long ago after she found out he was cheating on her. But, that's okay cause she was trying to figure a way to break up with him anyway. She has decided to go to the cabin her aunt left her for awhile. She needs a break and the cabin is where she goes when she needs that. There are no renters for the next couple of weeks anyway. She never dreamed that going there would change everything for her. While there she finds out the cabin next to hers belongs to her childhood friend Owen. She has always thought that Owen was attractive. There were only ever friends except for the one time Owen kissed her right before she left for college. Once Owen sees that Cali will be staying at the cabin for awhile he decides to stay at his also. He let her slip through his fingers once he won't make that mistake again. He is going to let her know how he feels and see where it goes. Owen asks Cali to go on a date with him and she agrees. They find it so easy to be together and there is an instant chemistry. Everything seems to be going fine until Owen's ex-girlfriend Mia starts coming around. There is also his brother wanting a job again. Also one of his employees, Avery, who is always flirting with Owen. Will they get there happily ever after or will the outside whole ruin there happy bubble.
I really liked this book. Owen and Cali get this wonderful second chance. They have liked each other for quite some time and known each other since childhood. They go through so much through out the book but instead of tearing them apart it brings them closer. He is always taking care of things and showing her how much he loves her. He is willing to do whatever it takes to insure that she is safe and loved. Cali never knew it could be like this with someone. She is blown away by everything Owen does for her and how he shows how much he cares for her. This is a great love story for sure. This book was wonderfully written and had engaging characters. I didn't want to put it down and will be looking for more books by Michelle Dare.
