Abigail Lee Justice writes emotional, erotic, suspense romances which include a BDSM theme. She creates strong characters, who seem real, but are flawed in some ways, some couples Happily Ever After will be a work in progress. Some characters problems are just too steamy to fix in one book. Abigail was born and raised in Baltimore City by two wonderful, supportive, loving parents. Sophie Spencer had everything a fantastic career as a cardiologist and a wonderful husband.  Then he was killed in a terrible car accident.  It has been two years but she isn’t really living just existing.   He works as much as possible so that she doesn’t have to think about how she really feels.  Her friends are there for her and want her to start living again.  They are taking her for a girl’s day, first the spa and then shopping.  By the end of the day she realizes how she has been living and wants to change that.  Her friend Lexi tells her that before her husband’s death he had been exploring the lifestyle she and her husband were in.  That he had planned on taking to the club that Lexi and her husband belong to but never got the chance.  She tells Sophie that she should try the lifestyle and that maybe it will help her move on.  So Sophie does just that.  She starts reading up on submissive, dominant, slaves, masters, etc. on the internet.  Then she looks up different clubs in the area.  She contacts a few of them and winds up going to the one her friends belong to just to see what is like and if it is something she might be open to.  She is nervous when she first gets there but is quickly but to ease.  Then she lead to a Dom named Kyle and told he will give her a tour and answer any questions she has.  There is something about Kyle that draws her in like never before.  She finds herself wanting to know him and be with him.  To give him whatever he wants and loving the way he handles her.  Will Kyle be the key to her moving forward?  Is this new lifestyle something she wants?

I liked this book a lot.  Sophie was dealt a great blow when her husband died.  She just can’t seem to get past losing him.  Her friend tells her she thinks this lifestyle will help her move forward.  Her friend tells her about her husband had been talking to them about how he had wanted them to try the lifestyle too.  Lexi asks Sophie if she had noticed anything different about her late husband before he died.  She admits that there was a change in him and in the relationship and that she liked it.  When Sophie meets Kyle she drawn to him like nothing before, she is surprised by this but welcomes it.  She is feeling alive for the first time since her husband died.  Will this be what she needs?  Will Kyle be her next chapter in life?  The characters are very well written.  I really felt for Sophie and was excited for her when she started researching the lifestyle.  The story flowed very well.  I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to find out what happens next between Sophie and Kyle.
