This is the second book in this trilogy it picks up right
where book one left off. Raine is with
Liam she is his collared submissive but part of her is still in love with Macen
it prevents her from acting the way she should.
She keeps things from Liam and distracts him when he asks something she
doesn’t want to talk about. It is the
week of Thanksgiving and she still hasn’t gotten her period she could be
pregnant with Macen’s baby while collared to Liam. What a mess that would be. She and Macen aren’t supposed to talk unless it’s
about work. Things between her and Liam
are strained she sometimes doesn’t even think about the things she does and how
they will affect him or make him feel.
Things get bad on Thanksgiving and the next day Liam lets her know that
he is uncollaring her but with still be there for her. He wants to give her time to decide what she
wants. She takes this to mean that he
doesn’t want her anymore and that she isn’t worth the fight. So she does what she always thinks she should
do which is leave. Liam and Macen go out
of their mind when they can’t find her.
She leaves her car and turns off her phone. She checks into a cheap motel and goes for a
walk. She winds up going to Beck’s
office in the hospital for advice. Her takes
her to his place and helps her work through some things. He calls the guys to tell she is with them
and he is helping her. Once she is ready
he takes her home to the guys and she has some things to tell them. She wants to try a Domme. This in one thing the guys weren’t expecting
and neither of them like it one bit.
What will they come up with now?
Beck and Seth let them know that she wants them both and that is best
for her. Will they be able to share
her? Will they be able to work together
to help her and give her what she needs?
This series is great.
In this book Raine really starts to come into herself. She realizes that in order to get what she
wants she has to let them in. That is
may not be as bad as she thinks. She
doesn’t believe that it will be easy for her or for them but she doesn’t want
to come between them anymore. This maybe
be the best for everyone involved. Macen
has been keeping things in since his wife died all those years ago. This may help him get them off his chest and
finally get over her death. Liam learns
things he never that had happened while they shared Macen’s late wife while she
was alive and lead to her suicide. Beck
and Seth, Liam’s friend are there for her.
They are her sounding board. She
can talk about how she feels about her sessions with the guys and what
revelations if any she has through those sessions. They all learn things in this book about each
other and their selves. Not everything
is easily processed. Some things that
are revealed are hard to digest and take some time to process. They even cause some disagreements. Will they all be able to continue or will it
all blow up in their faces. I can’t wait
to read the third book in this series.
