My Reveiw of First Ride by Tara Oakes

First Ride (The Slayers MC, #1)First Ride by Tara Oakes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book I have read by Tara Oakes and I enjoyed this one as much as the first. Dawson is the president of the MC Slayers motorcycle club. He is your typical biker. No steady girl, the club is his life and all he needs is that and his club brothers. That is until he meets Molly or as he calls her Angel. She is supposed to dance at the club’s legit business which a strip club but changes her mind at the last minute. The strip club manager doesn’t like this and Dawson steps in. He can tell right away that she has the weight of the world on her shoulders. He is normally really good at figuring people out but not Molly. There is just something about her that makes him want to protect her. That doesn’t change once he finds her story out in fact it just gets stronger. Molly doesn’t fully understand what it means to be a part of Dawson’s life. Dawson makes Molly his ol’ lady but is she ready for what being a part of his life really means? Dawson makes Molly feel safe and Molly brings Dawson a sense of peace. This book is fast paced and completely pulled me in. Molly is young but she has tons of responsibility and people counting on her. According to her she doesn’t need anyone but that changes when she meets Dawson. She may say that she doesn’t need Dawson or anyone else but he doesn’t accept that. He is going to help her even if she doesn’t want it. Dawson will make her see that she does need him even if she doesn’t need anyone else. The other members of the Slayers are great and I am excited to read the books that follow this one is the series to find out more about them. Molly has completely taken Dawson by surprise and changed things for him. Now he has a family himself not just his club family. He will do everything in his power to protect his new family. Will they be able to overcome what is coming their way? This book ends on a kind of cliff hanger but not a horrible one. I am glad to have the second book to read right away. Great job Tara Oakes.
