TITLE: Stolen Innocents
AUTHOR: Addison Kline
GENRE: Mystery / Romantic Suspense
Everybody in Elkhart has a secret and if they say they don't, they're lying. Three years have passed since Tristan Morrow returned home after her harrowing kidnapping ordeal with her former English teacher, Bernard Kendricks. A sense of peace has taken over the Morrow Manor, but it will not last forever. A killer of women is on the loose in Elkhart and has already claimed the lives of two young women. Will DiNolfo and her officers catch the killer before a third victim is claimed? When their three main suspects turn out to be innocent, the Elkhart Police Department is at a loss until a citizen comes forward with some crucial information: Tristan Morrow knows who is responsible for the murders. But does the information come too late? And how does this relate to the murder case of Tiffany O'Mara? Tristan soon learns that not even the dead can keep their secrets buried forever.
This is the second book in this series and I highly
recommend reading them in order to truly understand what is happening. I really enjoyed this book. It takes you on a wild ride. There is suspense, mystery, a bit of romance,
and so much more in this book. Tristan,
her siblings, her cousin, and Cole and in their senior year at steeplechase
academy, it has been three years since the last book. Adam and Liam are police officers now and
work with Jenna. They are about to face
another horrific mystery, it will take everyone to figure who is cause behind
it. Once again the past is the key to
the present. Angie O’Mara has come back
to town after losing her job and separating from her husband. The O’Mara’s lost one of their daughters
twenty years ago and then Angie left the next day, distraught about what happened
to her sister. Turns out that Bernard
was Angie and her sister’s cousin, he was strange even back then however Angie
was close to him. Courtney O’Mara is
found dead by Joe right in front of his café.
Tommy Morrow’s clothing was found at the scene along with someone else’s
gun, and still yet managing to implicate a third person as well. Jenna, Liam, and Adam must get to the bottom
of what is happening. Things get worse
when another girl is found in the woods killed the same way. Someone is trying to frame these three
boys. Who is really behind the
killings? I can’t say enough good things
about this book as well as the first one in this series. The book pulls in with the mystery of it
all. For quite a while I thought none of
the three who were implicated were guilty and that it was someone else. I was right however it wasn’t the person I
thought it was at first. I love a good
mystery and this definitely fits the bill.
Addison Kline is a fantastic author and I love everything she writes. She is one of those authors I don’t even
bother to read the synopsis first I just pick up the book. The characters in this book are
fantastic. They are fierce and loyal to
those that are family and that they consider family. I truly hope there is another book in this
series in the future. The kids are just
starting their life. I would love for
Jack to find another love. Tristan and
Cole despite their age are in it for the long haul. I look forward to reading more books by
Addison in future. Great job again
Addison.
