My Review
All I can think is wow. This book is all over the place. This book starts off pretty normal. Two detectives Xandra and Liam; working on a case of seven missing girls in Groverton, North Carolina. Then things start to get very weird. Xandra sees a spirt of some kind and Liam doesn’t believe her. Clues for the case point in a possible satanic direction. Xandra and Liam learn that there is more to them than they know. The book becomes more about them than about solving the case of the missing girls. I was at times confused and stuck. Xandra did a bit of ping ponging back and forth for a bit. I completely understand why she did; their pasts where coming back to revisit them. Karma sometimes waits life times to pay you back for things you have done. In the beginning of the book I wished that there was a prequel but then everything got explained. This book was a great read and I can’t wait to read more about the characters to get the answer some of the questions I have. Xandra and Liam’s lives have been turned upside down in ways you could never imagine. The characters in this book are great. The book has lots of twists and turns. Just when you think you know what is going to happen next you are thrown for another loop. If you like paranormal books and mysteries I highly suggest this book. I don’t want to give anything away as it would be easy to do in this book. This book will keep you on your toes for sure. So much happens and I never imagined the book would turn out the way it did based on the synopsis which I loved; it was so much better than I expected it to be. Great job J.P. Uvalle; I look forward to reading more books by you in the future.
