I loved this book so much. It was funny, romantic, and steamy at times. Sometimes something happens in our lives that changes everything. That is what happens to Caddock. Caddock loses his brother and rugby career all in one go. He is now the guardian to his 4 year old nephew as well. Caddock has always wanted to own his own pub so he buys one; he is in need of a new start and what better way for him and his nephew. Francis is an eccentric interior designer who has some anxiety issues. He is contacted to redo the pub. Caddock thinks Francis is female until he meets him for the first time. Francis instantly recognizes Caddock. Both are attracted to each other but could the 10+ year difference in age cause a problem? The two men are so different but there is no denying how much they are attracted to each other. They could be just what the other needs. Both Caddock and Francis are fantastic characters. There are some emotional parts in this book. Caddock faces what some other homosexuals face and that is their family not totally excepting them for their sexual preferences. The whole village of Looe is great. So much gossip; if something happens the whole village will surely know within a few hours. I was laughing at times and close to tears at others. Despite their differences Caddock and Frances are prefect for each other. I loved the change from Dahlia’s other books. I always look forward to reading a new book by Dahlia. I can’t say enough about them and always recommend them to others. Congrats Dahlia on another great book.
Dahlia Donovan wrote her first romance series after a crazy dream about shifters and damsels in distress. She prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters. An autistic and occasional hermit, her life wouldn’t be complete without her husband and her massive collection of books and video games.
