My Review
I really liked this book.  I mainly read romance or paranormal books.  This book was very interesting.  At first the two stories in the book are totally separate and interesting on their own.  It was great reading how they become connected.  Emily has recently lost her husband and now has a strained relationship with her daughter.  She has gone back to work probably to soon.  Kate Daniels is a great detective and is going through her own things.  She misses her ex-girlfriend Jo and has a strained relationship with her father.  Recently two bodies have been found on a beach and her team has been assigned to the case.  All that is left are bones and they don't have much else to go on.  The characters in this book are wonderful.  Normally I can figure out who did and what is going to happen but I couldn't in this book.  I was totally surprised and loved it.  I will definitely be adding other books by Mari Hannah to my TBR list.  This book was full of twists and turns, a little romance, angst, and drama.  Kate and her team were great and worked so well together.  I really felt for Emily she is still grieving for her husband, her daughter is grieving in her own way and Emily is trying to deal with that.  Things at work are weird as one of the inmates is obsessed with her.  So much happens in the book but I wasn't overwhelmed or lost.  The ending was sad but everything was explained and came together wonderfully.
