Excerpt
I’m standing here naked and staring at him as he dips his hand into his wallet. It was the same hand that was planted on my ass cheek not even an hour earlier. It was the same hand that was gently wrapped around my throat thirty minutes ago, and it will be the same hand of the man who returns home to his wife in the next fifteen minutes. I slide into my panties as he quickly zips and buttons up his pants, and then I watch as he tosses crisp hundred dollar bills on the bed next to me. I look down at the cash and then back up to him. He’s grinning, a usual side effect from our dirty little night. It’s an I just had my brains fucked silly type of expression. I don’t want to smile back, but it’s a habit. This sexual game we play is already set into motion the very moment any man meets me. He licks his lips while he eyes me up and down. I’m waiting, standing there perfectly still, with my tits out and fuck-me eyes glued to him. He leans in and grips my waist with both hands. I remain silent. My job is done. The cash is on the bed and I’m ready to leave, but I can’t. Not yet. I have to stay in character for a little longer. He’s thirsty for me, and if I give him just a drop, he’ll keep coming back for more. I’m setting mental traps in that head of his and he doesn’t even know it. These men never do. Fucking Idiots.

This book has romance, danger, and more.  Nine is an escort; she wound up doing this the same as most girls as a lost choice.  Nine doesn’t have a pimp or owner though she works for herself.  She made the choice to be an escort to save herself and her friend Jenny.  Trig is a hit man, not that he wants to be.  One night Nine goes to meet a new client only this guy has something else in mind all together.  His name is Victor and he is pissed that he is losing money to Nine.  He plans on making her one of his girls.  Trig is on a job and Victor is his job; he is supposed to take out Nine as well but he doesn’t.  Instead he takes and gets her patched up.  Both Nine and Trig are doing things that they don’t necessarily want to.  Nine doesn’t know any other way and Trig is being forced.  Trig sees something in Nine and for some reason he wants to save her and will at any cost.  Can they have a chance at a future?  Nine has never had the normal experience girls do; will Trig be able to give those to her?  Will Nine take a chance on Trig?  This book was a great read.  Nine had a terrible childhood and has never had any real affection from anyone.  She fights any type of kindness Trig tries to offer her.  She is uncomfortable with the way he makes her feel and is angry that she does.  She feels out of control and hates that.  Trig makes her feel all kinds of things she has never felt before.  She feels comfortable and safe with him but it scares her at the same time.  Trig is angry for Nine and life she has had to live.  Things are out of their control for most of the book but they aren’t going to let that stop them.  I really enjoyed this book.  The characters are engaging and the story is wonderfully written.  I had read most of the book Jen has written and loved them this one is no different.  Another great job Jen.

Jennifer Raygoza also known as the rebel of writing, burst through the writing scene in 2012 with a vampire series called, The Guardians. It was a story originally written just for fun, but ended up being self-published out of curiosity. Little did she know, the series would be strongly embraced by vampire readers. Since then this down to earth, California girl has been picked up by Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing.
