Body of Law Volume 2

She turned me into a
criminal…
She corrupted my
practical line of thinking by being uncommonly beautiful and so much more
interesting than I expected. It’s too bad she wasn’t just someone else—someone
who wasn’t swimming with brilliance. She had the uncanny talent to make me
feel—well, to make me feel anything at all—something no other woman had ever
done before.
I hate her for it,
and yet I can’t throw her away like all the other women before. Still, with
criminal charges pending against me I’ll have to forget all about the intern
who stole my heart.
She should have just
stayed off limits.

~*~ABOUT AMANDA
LANCE~*~
A native of New
Jersey and lifelong nerd, Amanda Lance recently completed her Master in Liberal
Arts at Thomas Edison State College after her BA in English Literature and AFA
in creative writing. As an avid reader of all genres, some of her favorite
authors include Hemingway, Marquis de Sade, Stevenson, Bukowski and Radcliffe.
When she isn’t
writing or reading, Amanda can found indulging in film noir or hiking with her
other half and their extremely spoiled dog. She is obsessively working on her
next book and trying to tame her caffeine addiction.
Sebastian finds himself in jail in the beginning of the book
and then once he is released he finds Violet in his apartment. He finds himself releasing his anger just by
finding her there and that makes him realize how much she affects him. Later when he learns the assault charges are
dropped he is dealt another blow by learning he is being sued for sexual harassment
in a class action suit. Sebastian has
been threatened with lawsuits before but no one has ever followed through let
alone files a class action suit. What is
going to happen now? What is Sebastian
going to do about his feelings for Violet?
How is Violet going to react to lawsuit against him? Will she believe it or not?
I like the series of books.
Sebastian is a closed off man. He
doesn’t do relationships or commitment at all.
But, there is something about Violet that makes him feel. He isn’t totally comfortable with that
fact. Violet is still naïve about
Sebastian. She doesn’t understand the
type of man he is. She had a crush on
him when she was younger and now that he is making her dreams come true in that
aspect she overlooks other things. In this
book she learns that she was wrong about him.
She may be right about him is some aspects but he isn’t willing to let
her see that or the way she affects him.
He thinks about her all the time and she is changing him. He is too scared to let her see that
though. Will this stop him from getting
what he really wants which is Violet? I
can’t wait to see what happens in the next vol.
Will Sebastian find a way to deal with his feelings for Violet and let
her in? Sebastian is facing the possible
end of his career and losing Violet.
